Knowing that your dog is happy and lovingly cared for
gives you peace of mind so that you can fully enjoy YOUR vacation!
How to make a reservation:
Simply email us (preferred) at [email protected] or call us at 630-365-5009. Please leave a message if we miss your phone call because we are working with our boarding guests. Give us the dates that you want and how we can contact you back. We will want to know a lot about your dog and his/her preferences. We will then email the boarding forms to you.
Will my dog be kept in a crate or in isolation?
No! We do not use crates at the Inn. Every dog has a spacious suite of 4' x 8' inside and 4' x 8' outside connected by their own private doggie door. Each suite has natural light and plenty of ventilation. Also, our guests are not kept behind solid doors as if they were locked in a closet! We strongly feel that dogs are much more comfortable and relaxed when they can see more than four blank walls. We do not keep them in isolation cells! Our guests are free to see what is happening around them.
Will my dog have access to grass for potty duties and play?
Absolutely! There is a spacious grass yard that overlooks acres of scenic countryside. All dogs have supervised yard time 6 - 7 times a day. Anything less we would consider inhumane! We work very hard to keep up their house-training for you!
How experienced is your staff?
Very experienced! Diane and Ron are the owners and staff of the Inn. They have been involved with showing, breeding, training and boarding dogs since 1970. They have been boarding clients' pets since 2001.
Must I sign a waiver concerning the possibilities of my dog being injured or killed by another boarding dog at the kennel?
Emphatically NO! You certainly do not need to spend your vacation worrying whether your beloved dog will suffer bite wounds, broken bones or even death from another dog in rough play groups. We won't allow that on our watch! For that reason we do not do play groups. We know dogs inside out and realize that the possibility of dog fights always exists in such play groups, so we have chosen to be extra cautious with your precious pet.
Does anyone check on my dog during the night?
Absolutely! Diane and Ron live within 15 feet of the kennel building so it is easy to do night time checks on our boarding dogs. Several checks are done at intervals during the night such as 10pm, 2am, 5am. We even take dogs out for potty breaks during the night.
Will anyone play with my dog?
Of course! That is the fun of having a boarding kennel! Our doggie guests are like our grandchildren...we promise to spoil them. If your dog likes other dogs, we will let him/her interact and run with our dogs along the fence separating the boarding dogs' yard with our dogs' yard. Safety and fun at the same time! If your dog is not comfortable with other dogs, we will play with them or just sit and cuddle.
Does my dog need to be neutered or spayed in order to stay at Chandlers' Clixworld Inn Boutique Boarding?
Nope! Unaltered dogs are fine.
Are there add on charges for play, cuddling sessions, or treats?
No! Every dog deserves and gets these amenities automatically!
